Allegra Chamber Orchestra presents COMPOSER INC 2026, an evening celebrating bold new voices and the future of Canadian music.

Founded in Vancouver in 2016, the award-winning, all-female Allegra Chamber Orchestra has built its work around artistic excellence, adventurous programming, and creating meaningful opportunities for women and underrepresented artists. Over the past decade, Allegra has commissioned and premiered dozens of new works, while developing mentorship and professional opportunities designed to help the next generation of Canadian creators thrive.

Join Artistic Director and Conductor Janna Sailor and the musicians of Allegra for the culmination of Composer INC 2026, the orchestra’s national, tuition-free composer mentorship and development program.

The evening features the world premieres of four new works by the 2026 Composer INC cohort: Catherine Bevan, Alexandra Gorlin-Crenshaw, Diana Tayler, and Jessica Ackerley. Developed over five months of mentorship, workshops, artistic exchange, and collaboration with professional musicians, these works now move from the page to the stage.
